So – Rob headed over to Spiritland for the first waves of DJ’s at what’s reputedly the best sound system in the world. You can listen back to the full set – all 3hours and 38 minutes of it.
Expect loads of hidden Brazilian gems, 70’s boogie, country funk and afrobeat. Plus a few silky smooth slices for your aural pleasure.
Tonight (Tuesday 27th September) Rob from the Peaches will be lugging a chunk of his record collection over to Kings Cross to play the choicest slices of liquorice at Spiritland, the brand new purpose built venue for the audiophile/foodie/mixologist Londoner.
Spiritland is the brainchild of Paul Noble, record collector, musician, broadcaster and more. Following the hugely successful run in Merchants Tavern throughout 2015/2016, Spiritland now has it’s own venue on Stable Street, King Cross. Built around a world-class sound system – a one-off, exceptional creation playing original, in-depth musical programming day and night, seven days a week. It’s all about the music, the artist and the listening experience. It’s a place to experience music of all genres and eras, encouraging creativity and exploration.
Rob will be playing selections from his own collection, amassed from countless hours crate-digging from London, the US, Japan, Brazil and Australia. Expect Latin-tinged country music, psychedelic groove, meditative soundscapes, bizarre pop and much much more.
